Hello Division 14!

I hope you all have had a good week so far. This email will cover upcoming events and updates on division related news.

Please respond to this email confirming you have read and understood its contents. Today's question: Do you have any fun plans this weekend?

In this email I will discuss the following topics:
  • August DCM
  • Mascot
  • T-Shirt Design
  • Region Training Conference
  • Spotlight on Service Program
  • Division Leadership Team
  • Fall Rally North
  • District Convention 2019

August DCM

Our August DCM will be a Movie Night! Feel free to wear pjs and bring blankets. We will be watching Avengers: Infinity War and a holding bake sale fundraiser for the Pediatric Trauma Program!

When: August 18th, 5:00pm-8:00pm
Where: River Valley High School (Room # to be announced later)

Mascot

Thank you so much to all of you who voted in the mascot poll! I appreciate hearing everyone's opinions on the exciting future of Division 14.

Now, it was a very close race, but I am pleased to announce that the results are...

Mascot: Caribou
Colors: Silver & Blue

Our design contest has officially started and will be held until July 30th! Please submit any artwork as a vector file and of course, less colors are better when it comes to purchasing t-shirts.

Please send all submissions to d14.cn...@gmail.com with the subject line "Division 14 New Mascot Design".

T-Shirt Design

In the coming weeks, our division shirts will be ordered which means we need a design! Our t-shirt design contest will run from July 30th to August 18th

Please send all submissions to d14.cn...@gmail.com with the subject line "Division 14 T-Shirt Design 2018-19".

I look forward to seeing all of your lovely submissions for this term's shirt!

Region Training Conference

At our June DCM, we decided to join Region 16 in Sacramento for our annual RTC! The theme is PaRTC! Clubs will be required to bring their own chaperones following the mandatory 1:12 ratio.

When: September 22nd, 9:30am-4:00pm

Registration: 9:00am-9:30am *BEE sure to arrive early!*

Where: TBA

Spotlight on Service Program

Each month the Service Projects Committee chooses a theme for service and this month's is BEE Clean, CNH! Some potential service projects are community cleanups and recycling drives.

August's theme is Children's Education! Holding school supply drives and volunteering to read to young kids are great ways to participate, especially as the new school year approaches!

Division Leadership Team

The following positions are still available:

- Executive Assistant (1)
- Secretary
- News Editor
- Tech Editor
- Communications and Marketing Coordinator
- Historian
- Member Recognition Coordinator
- Member Development and Education Coordinator
- Service Projects Coordinator
- PTP Coordinator

(There are no limits for coordinators meaning even if I have appointed someone you may still reach out if interested!)

Even though the application period has closed, you can always reach out to me and we can discuss options to see if you’d work well as a member of the DLT.

You may contact me in any way that feels comfortable to you!

Fall Rally North

FRN 2018 is October 20th at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom! This is a truly wonderful event so please start planning ahead of time for ticket costs and transportation. Don't forget your spirit gear!

District Convention 2019
