Hello Blue Robots!

This month’s DCM and end-of-term banquet will be Saturday, May 19th, 2018! It will be held at 9:00 AM at Manuel Vierra Park Municipal in Gridley. There we will have breakfast, discuss our monthly business, conduct the awards ceremony, and go over any necessary information to volunteer. This will take place before Gridley’s annual Red Suspender Day where members can earn service hours! The event itself is just a few blocks from the park and lasts from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Of course, this service event is optional but still highly encouraged! Please be sure to wear closed-toed shoes and a Key Club shirt you have one.

Types of Volunteering:

  • Trash clean-up is needed from 11:00 AM-5:00 PM and members will need to check into the Gridley Chamber of Commerce. 15-20 members are needed for this.

  • Hot dog cooking will be lead by the Lions Club and will need 2 members every hour from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM.

  • Tri-tip dinner is also being put on by the Lions Club and will need 3 members to help from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM. You will need to check in at the Gridley Museum.

  • Pine Wood derby races are hosted by the Recreation Department. If you would like more information on this event, please contact me and I will answer shortly.

Food List:

I encourage each club to bring a type of food so there is enough to go around. The banquet is breakfast themed!

**Please respond to this email if you have any food allergies or needs (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.) so I can provide other options.**

  • Orange Juice

  • Water

  • Syrup

  • Sausage/Bacon

  • Pancakes (I am providing this)

  • Scrambled Eggs

  • Muffins

  • Lots of Mixed Fruit

  • Bagels & Cream Cheese

  • Doughnuts

  • Hashbrowns

If there is something else not on this list that your club would like to bring, feel free to run it by me! Please let me know what your club will be bringing and how many members will be attending by May 17th, 6:00 PM.

Thank you and I hope to see you all there!
