Santa's Gift of Service

This weekend is a very special event hosted by Sac State Circle K, Santa’s Gift of Service! This event is free of admission but there will be fundraisers hosted throughout. I encourage anyone who’s able to attend to register and check out all the service projects and opportunities. An ERF is required to attend as a Key Clubber! Presidents, please email me the completed ERF if your club is planning on attending.

SGS is a day full of service featuring several service projects geared towards Circle K's District Service Initiative (DSI), where our Kiwanis Family will work together to benefit the community as a whole. We will have projects such as making candy sleighs, decorating ornaments and stockings, and creating mini holiday wreaths. There will also be one workshop station dedicated to fellowship! Similar to last year's Gift of Giving, this event is geared towards Circle K's District Service Initiative; this term, their DSI is Helping Those With Disabilities.

All gifts and goodies made during the event will be donated and delivered to the United Cerebral Palsy of Sacramento and Northern California, an organization that serves hundreds of adults and children affected by developmental disabilities.

Spotlight on Service Program

This month's theme is Kiwanis Family! Some ways to participate is to plan a Thanksgiving-style meal with your local branches of the Kiwanis Family, take over your supporting Kiwanis club’s meeting by hosting it, or send thank you notes to the Kiwanians! I have also attached the 2018 November Service Projects Guide to give you more inspiration!

Every month, clubs throughout the District have the chance to be featured in the District Newsletter for performing an outstanding service event that aligns with the SOSP Monthly Focus. The link to the submission form can be found here. Submissions are due to the form on the 5th of each month by 6:00pm PST. Pictures must be sent to the Service Projects Chair at cnhk...@gmail.com.

Spotlight on Education Program

This month's theme is also Kiwanis Family! Some ways to participate is to educate your fellow members on the different branches and your local Kiwanis club!

Division Pins

Our pins for this term have come in and we are selling them for a dollar each! Let me know if you would like to purchase one!

Division Judging Committee

If anyone would like to participate and help the members and advisors around them receive some much deserved recognition, then ask me about the Division Judging Committee! The deciding process will occur throughout January, so availability will be crucial during this time.
