Henry Ford struggled before his Ford car industry succeeded and after
years of toiling his company became a world wide name. His first few
companies left him broke but he did not give up and this is important
in many walks of life. It’s practically impossible to succeed with
out practice and years of toiling with ideas and Henry Ford is a
perfect example and many others followed in his foot steps.

For example, another amazing person is Akio Morita also known as the
founder of Sony. When they hit the scene with their first product
which was a rice cooker their product failed to do what it was made to
do and right then and their company Sony could have been just a vision
but Akio did not give up and look at the level their products are now
some being the famous Play Station one through three, TV’s like the
Bravia, and other electronics. Like everything else Akio also needed
to practice before his success.

Another example, Walt Disney he was told that he had a lack of an
imagination by the news editor he work with but later in his life he
made many child hood favorites. He worked through his failures and now
even after death his name is worth millions.

In conclusions, everything in life takes years of toiling and practice
to succeed through failure. Famous people like Henry Ford, Akio
Morita, and Walt Disney succeeded even though they were told they
couldn’t.

SAT Essay

In order to achieve a goal, it takes effort and time to achieve greatness as well as talent. If you don't have talent, it doesn't matter how much time or effort you put into it.

For example, Miranda Lambert started playing guitar when she was 14 years old. It took her a lot of time, effort and talent to reach the celebrity status of today. In the Country music world, she is a very well known female artist. In the beginning of her career, she had a lot of ups and downs; between family problems, very little money, and people telling her she was too young and inexperienced. She worked through all of these struggles, as well as putting in the time and the effort and having the talent to do so.

Another example would be when learning choreography in dance people have to give the time needed, whether it is two days or six months, to get what they need to done. Dancers put in the time and effort needed to learn the dance and achieve their goals. Through achieving these goals they can become a professional dancer on Broadway or in Hollywood.

As people grow and learn, they set goals in life to keep them on track. To achieve these goals it takes time and effort to achieve greatness.

SAT Essay
One does not simply start at a new skill and instantly become good at
it. It takes a lot of time and effort to actually develop a skill and
become proficient in it. When I started playing drums four years ago,
I was extremely frustrated due to my inability to truly play the
instrument. However, as time went on, I practiced and practiced until
the day came where all my effort and persistence paid off. Over the
years I had become extremely proficient at playing drums to the point
that it became monstrously fun and exceedingly easy. Achieving a goal
takes a lot of time and an even greater amount of effort, and if a
person has the drive, that is all it takes to achieve that goal.
When I first started playing Drums, I wanted to pick up the drum
sticks and instantly start playing along with songs and making up my
beats. Unfortunately for me, as well as everyone else, that is simply
not how it works. Looking back on my past years of drum playing, I
only begin to realize just how much effort and time it took for me to
be at the point where I am today and I still have to continue to put
in that time and effort if I aspire to become an even better player.
No new skill comes easily to anybody (with a few exceptions) and a
person must be ready to put in great amounts of effort and sacrifice
an extreme amount of time if he or she wants to develop that skill.
Last year, I began the whole instrument learning process all over
again when I decided that I wanted to learn how to play guitar. I
thought that after all these years of learning how to play the drums,
guitar would be easier to learn since I already knew how the process
works. However, this was not the case, and I was wrong. This new
skill, however similar the process to develop it is with another
skill, is still a completely different and separate experience. Right
now, I am not very good, but I know that if I put in the time and
consistently put in enough effort, I will one day be as good as I
aspire to be.
People must toil for years and put in enough time in effort so that
one day they can achieve the goal they set out to reach. Nothing in
life comes easy, and that is especially true for developing a new
skill and accomplishing a goal. An individual who is enthusiastic
about his or her goal or skill will become proficient in the skill and
achieve that goal. Another individual who does not set aside the time
or put in the effort to develop a skill or achieve a goal in turn,
never will. Time and effort are both required if a person wants to
achieve a goal, and they only ever will if they set aside the time and
put in the effort.

In order tom achieve greatness you have to have had failures. Even
the greatest professional athletes have had failures. Most athletes
say that the road to the pros was not easy. For example Michael Jordan
was cut from his high school basketball team, and Maurice Jones- Drew-
was told that he was too small to play football. Both players proved
to themselves that they could play professionally in their respective
sports. Michael Jordan is arguably the best basketball players to ever
play and Maurice Jones-Drew has one a rushing title in the NFL. The
greatest athletes have had to fight to become where they are today.

Michael Jordan is arguably the best basketball player to ever play.
He may be one of the best but he didn’t become the best without hard
work. After being cut from his basketball team, he worked immensely to
get better and prove everyone that he could play at a high level. He
did and then went on to play at the university of North Carolina ant
the rest is history. He went on to win 6 NBA championships.

Maurice Jones-Drew is one of the most explosive running backs in the
national football league. But he didn’t get where he is with out some
doubt in peoples minds. Some people questioned his height .They
thought that he was to small to play in the league. They were all
proven wrong. Jones-drew was drafted 60th overall by the Jacksonville
jaguars. He has won a rushing title and has been honored in three pro
bowls.

Even though athletes seem to have an easy road to fame, most of them
work very hard to chive their goals of becoming professional in their
respective sports. And these athletes show that even though you may
fail the first time or people don’t believe in you, never stop
believing in yourself. You will never achieve any of your goals
without being challenged, and those challenges make you the best you
can be.

To achieve greatness takes consistent hard work and effort. To achieve
anything at all takes hard work and effort. Michael Jordan for example
was cut from his high school basketball team and then practiced every
day and became an iconic NBA player. Even president Obama grew up on
welfare and his hard work and effort helped him to come out on top.
But, it is not only those two factors that determine whether or not an
individual will be successful. It comes down to the drive, dedication,
motivation, and desire that cause people to toil for years to achieve
a goal.

Throughout Romeo and Juliet, the two star crossed lovers had to fight
for their marriage. The two never gave up hope and toiled for a long
time over how to stay together. Their dedication to their love and the
motivation to prove to their families that the feud needed to end
helped them to reach their goal of eternal love. Facing obstacles
throughout their efforts only made the drive to be together even
stronger. They sacrificed their lives to achieve that goal of being
together and exhibited more than just hard work and effort.

Another example is Martin Luther King Jr. He toiled for years to
achieve the goal of equality. He never gave up hope and consistently
made efforts to achieve his goal. He organized peaceful marches and
when they ran successful, it drove him to improve the treatment or
colored people even more. It took him many years to get to a place
where he could make a speech to advocate for the dream of colored
people. He knew it was a major risk and there was a possibility that
he could sacrifice his life, but it was his dedication that allowed
him to toil for years to get that far.

Within society there have been many people who have toiled for years
to achieve greatness. J.K Rowling was denied from several publishers
before Harry Potter was successful. Walt Disney was told that he had a
lack of imagination and has now developed the largest cult like
following of animation known throughout the world. Lance Armstrong was
a cyclist who battled cancer and trained for years and was the best in
the world.

All of these people were shot down, denied, and faced with challenges
that forced them to preform consistent hard work and effort to achieve
greatness.Throughout someone’s life, there are obstacles that can be
set in front of them that cause a person to set a goal and toil to
achieve the greatness they strive for with consistent hard work and
effort. The challenges can make a person feel the motivation and
dedication that they need to toil for years and then achieve
greatness.

Throughout centuries and centuries of hard work and success, people
will do whatever it takes to acquire their personal dreams. There are
many variables that must be put into play in order for one to acquire
success, but effort is just one of them. Part of success, as well, are
one's connections and publicity. Without these qualities, one's road
to success would be rather difficult and have a very slim chance.
One example of someone whose effort was a prime reason for their
success is Terry Kennedy. Terry Kennedy is a professional skateboarder
who came from a suburban neighborhood with not very much to qualify
him as a “successful” individual. However, at the very late age of 15,
Kennedy picked up a skateboard that a friend gave him and continued to
use it every day for a whole year. Kennedy’s passion for the sport
helped fuel his effort into the sport and within just one year Kennedy
became sponsored by Baker Skate Team. This is unbelievably impressive
considering that Baker is one of the largest skateboarding brands on
the market and most teenagers that get sponsored at the age of 16 have
been skateboarding for at least 3 years. It just goes to show how if
one can try as hard as they can and have the heart for something they
can do whatever they want. Without this hard effort Terry would
probably have been nothing more than what he is today and never would
have reached his career today.
Another quality of becoming successful is one’s connections to
certain individuals. An example of someone who became successful
through their connections is Rihanna. Rihanna lived in a 3rd world
country in Central America where she had amazing singing/musical
talent, but she did not know the right type of people that would help
her acquire her desired fame. However, one day Rihanna’s mother took
her to meet a record-company executive for Roc-A-Feller Records.
Rihanna rehearsed for them and rap artist Jay-Z shortly signed her for
a record deal. This connection with Jay-Z was a key aspect to her
success in terms of how she became known and got the right recognition
she deserved. Without connection’s, even the most talented person can
blend in with another street performer considering that they do not
know the “right people.”
In addition, another quality of becoming successful is the publicity
induced on something. Without publicity, nothing will be recognized by
the public. For example, when a product is made and is trying to sell,
commercials are made, billboards are put up, advertisements on the
internet are found, etc. The fact that these products are showed to
the buyers market puts the idea of them into one’s mind and in
essence, success is a majority of people “liking” something. Publicity
simply puts the idea into the people’s minds and its up to the people
to “like” said something. Without publicity, nobody would know about
anything new and products would not be sold.
In conclusion, the road to success is a rough but doable one,
considering anything is possible. With effort, connections, and
publicity, anyone can acquire their life time goal and be successful.
Without any one of these characteristics, one’s road to success would
be difficult and even more rigid. On Apr 5, 10:13 am,

SAT Essay

How dose one achieve greatness? Is there a specific recipe, a formula by which one must align or is it simply through the time and toil that we put forth that we become great? As a young child I began to bake, I would spend hours in the kitchen pouring my heart out into my cooking. Despite all my efforts though, my diligence was not rewarded the cookies that I was baking tasted like ash, seeing as I had forgotten the sugar in my hast to please others. This lesson taught to my at a young age showed me that in order to achieve greatness in cooking one must put forth more than just time and effort, one must show diligence in research and applying different ideas to what it is that they are trying to do.

A classic example of this would be Thomas Edison; Edison grew up in a very poor household with very little education. Despite this set back though he joined the working force at the tender age of thirteen where he began to sell newspapers, it was in his free time though that he began to educate himself. He spent hours locked away reading scientific and technical books. He began to teach himself the basics of what would latter prove to be his ultimate career. At the age of 16 Edison took his first steps in to the sentific field as he began to work as a telegrapher, this profession would ulitmently change to an inventor. It was only after a lot of research and multiple failures that Edison was able to invent the light bulb.

Another example of this is Walt Disney. Yes, even the man who can claim the right to some of the most beloved movies of all time started out from humble origins. At the age of 16 he dropped out of high school and began to work a verity of odd jobs including an ambulance driver, a newspaper artist, and in an advertisement firm. Time after time though he relised that these jobs were not for him and so he would think of a new idea and then try it out. At the age of 27 Disney first began his work as an animation expert, this was after he had been told by his newspaper editor that he lacked imagination and good ideas. However, his story does not end here. Walt Disney continued to extend his ideas and threw trial and error he found new audiences to wow and impress.

So what dose it take to become great, to become something truly spectacular? As Thomas Edison and Walt Disney can testify it takes more than just perseverance, it take true dedication, one must be willing to change their ideas if they are not succeeding and always be trying to expand. If we wish to become great then we to must be willing to exert the time and energy that it will take.
