spoke
of his experiences as a member of the German Luftwaffe, and his
aviation
past.

P. Dulias speak about his aviation past.
In 1944 Mr. Dulias was known as "Lieutenant" Gottfried Dulias of the
German
Luftwaffe.
Wearing his original World War II German officer's uniform which
included a
non-functioning authentic Lugar pistol and his military decorations,
Mr.
Dulias spoke to the cadets about his experiences as an ME-109 fighter
pilot
on both the Eastern and Western fronts where he scored five aerial
victories
over both British Spitfires and Russian Ratas. While he did shoot down
five
aircraft, Mr. Dulias told the cadets he was glad all five pilots
parachuted
to safety, and he personally was never responsible for causing the
death of
another person. He spoke of the chivalry which existed among the
fliers of
the various warring nations, including the story of one of his victims
saluting him while parachuting to the ground. "Of course," he said, "I
returned the salute."
Mr. Dulias also spoke of his final war years which were spent in a
Russian
P.O.W. camp where chivalry was not practiced. Proud of his past, and
the
machines he flew and the pilots he met, he recently wrote a book on
his
life's
experiences entitled, "Another Bowl of Kapusta." Kapusta, a bowl of
cabbage
soup, was the name of the first meal the Russians gave him after his
capture.
Mr. Dulias came to America in the early 1950s where he settled down
and
raised his family. He is very active in book signings as well as
attending
various air shows where he once again puts on his uniform and
participates
with other members of the Luftwaffe Air-crew Re-enactment Association.
He
has also been working alongside former Grumman Aviation personnel in
constructing a life size replica of his ME-109 fighter plane which he
flew
during the war.
"Lieutenant" Dulias promised to return and speak again to the entire
Long
Island Group.

Obedve tyto slova ("leadership", "moral") jsou v cestine
zprofanovana sedesati lety komunismu, fasismu, a sebe-
zachovneho vlezdoprdelismu, coz samozrejme znemoz-
nuje jakykoliv smysluplny preklad tohoto pojmu z anglictiny.
Musi u vas ten cynismus nejdriv vyhnit, jak rikaval Werich.
Takovy tri generace. Nejmin. Pak by jsme si byli schopni
o tom seriozne popovidat. To uz tu ale nebudem ;-)
