It's going to be a Merry Christmas for Cytoscape Web users! You asked
for new features, and we've delivered.

As requested by users, it is now possible to set custom images on
nodes through the regular visual style or style bypass features. Users
have also been asking for the ability to draw edges as dotted or
dashed lines, so it has been added to the visual properties set as
well.

A feature we think will make Cytoscape Web even easier to use is the
new network model. This will allow developers to create networks from
simple plain JavaScript objects. This means developers don't need to
learn and use the XML formats (XGMML or GraphML) anymore. Those
existing formats are still supported and may be more convenient for
some, but using just JavaScript objects will probably feel more
natural in a lot of cases, especially where the network is dynamically
generated.

Finally, this version allows users to export networks to SVG, in
addition to the other supported formats.

We are heading to a beta version, so please send us your comments and
suggestions.

Thanks for your continued support of Cytoscape Web!
