Hello,

I am trying to select the nodes in my network using an ID list txt file. However, when I choose the option, it keeps giving me the following error message:

"You must specify a non-null file to load".

I'd be very happy if someone helped me solving this issue. Thank you very much.

Can you share the file or a sample of the file?

Thank you Alex. I attached my network "AI_network.sif" and a part of the ID list.

Here are the steps I did:

1. Launched Cytoscape 3.6.1.
2. Import network from file: your sif file
3. Select > Nodes > From ID list file… : your txt file

And then I see 22 nodes selected. It appears to work fine.  Are these the same steps you are doing?  I did this on a Mac. Are you on Windows? Maybe the text file isn’t formatted properly for Windows? You can also just copy/paste the list from your opened file to the search bar in the upper-right.
