Dear all,
I performed a GO term enrichment analysis via ClueGO app of cytoscape 3.5.1 with one gene cluster related to my desire disease. In result table, among the genes in "Associated Genes Found" column, there are a lot of gene names that do not exist in my gene list that I imported it in ClueGo app. This column should just show some genes among my gene list, which are related to a specific term. I repeated this procedure again but I found these extra genes on that column. Why does it happen? If this app adds some new genes to my gene list, this job changes the rate of significancy.
It's my pleasure if anybody helps me

Hi,
ClueGO is not adding any genes to the uploaded list. You can see in the ClueGO table (in the right side under the network) the conversion of your ids to official gene symbols.

Hi,
I checked these extra genes with my desire gene list. Among the 108 genes, 23 of them are new. For six of them, another of their gene family existed in my gene list and about 16 else, they have an expression in the kidney (my desire organ). It seems ClueGo do something like enriching my gene list for finding better GO-terms.

Hi,
could you send us this list of genes?
Thanx
