Hello,

I have imported protein-protein interaction network from string database using cytoscape. Often I find multiple nodes with no interactions - as orphan nodes with no edges/interactions with other nodes. How can I delete those nodes with no edges. Is there any way to remove using options in cytoscape rather than manually selecting and deleting?

Thank you.

Hello,

I don't know of any option that does what you're looking for. The safest way to do this is probably using the degree filter to select all nodes with degree 0 and then deleting them.
It would be a good idea to add this functionality in an option along with Remove Duplicated Edges and Remove Self-Loops. Still, it is pretty simple to do it without such an option.

Regards,
Dawn
