Dear Cytoscape community,

I am trying to install the Cerebral plugin/app. I have followed the tutorial instructions, and downloaded the prefuse.jar and cerebral2.8.2.jar and moved them to the app directory. However when I try to install the app through the cytoscape app managed I get the error message "Jar is missing value for entry cytoscape-app in its manifest file error". Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks,

Martin

Hi, Martin --

Unfortunately, this is a Cytoscape v2 plugin, which is incompatible with the Cytoscape 3.x that has been in release for the last 5 years.

You have a few choices ...

1) Download and use Cytoscape 2.8.2 (http://chianti.ucsd.edu/Cyto-2_8_2/), though we don't support Cytoscape 2.x anymore. You would be on your own.

2) Browse the Cytoscape app store (apps.cytoscape.org) for a Cytoscape 3.x app that performs a similar function.

Feel free to post back on this thread ... best of luck!
