Hello,

I am brand new to cytoscape. I have reviewed the user manual and threads in this group but can't find an answer to the following problem.

I am attempting to import the attached excel file as a new network into Cytoscape 3.7. I set the "Label" column with the "interaction" meaning, "Entity A" column with the "Source Node" meaning, and then "Entity B" with the meaning "Target Node". However, once my file is imported, the network visualization appears with no Node Labels, as shown in the attached screen shot. How do i get the labels to show up? What did i miss?

Thank you in advance for your help!!

Hi, and welcome to Cytoscape!

Actually, it's probably working.  If you zoom in to a small set of nodes, do you see the labels?  Cytoscape has a "level of detail" setting to improve it's performance for large networks.   Drawing labels can be expensive so we only draw the labels when you're close enough to actually be able to read them.  If you want to override the level of detail, you can go to View->Always Show Graphics Details and it will show you everything.  That's a toggle, so you can turn it off again if you want.  By the way, when you save your network as an image, you will always get full graphics details.
