Problem with creating a PPI network in Cytoscape using String database version 12. Cytoscape downloads data STRING v. 11.5

Hi,

I have problem with creating a PPI network in Cytoscape using String database version 12.  Cytoscape downloads data STRING v. 11.5 (for my results it is a big difference).

When creating the PPI network, cytoscape retrieves data from the 11.5 version of the string database. There is now a new version 12. How to create a network with this data (v12)? I need to perform further analyses on the latest version of PPI STRING.

In v 11.5 version of STRING was available "send network to Cytoscape" option in string database. But now I am not able find that option is string v12.  Could you help me or fix this problem?

 

I have updated Cytoscape to the latest version (1.09.23)

Hi Magda,

It is currently not possible to create STRING v12 networks with stringApp. We have been working on providing that in the last months and we are almost there. We expect to switch around the end of next week. I hope that is still timely enough for you.
