ClueGO Uniprot GOA Annotation update is not downloading

Hi, 

I got an error updating Uniprot in ClueGO with the same text, that I described earlier for KEGGs:

"Internet connection seems to be interrupted or the link has changed: Server returned HTTP response code: 403 for URL: http://rest.kegg.jp/get/hsa04810. Check in the *.properties file in the /your_home_folder/ClueGOSourceFiles/Homo Sapiens/ folder!”

I am having an error updating Uniprot in ClueGO, it says:

The link http://current.geneontology/ontology/go.obo does not contain and .obo file

Could you please let me know what should I do?

Hi,

That URL is not right, maybe you have an older version of cluego. I just noticed that even the latest version of cluego 2.5.10

has an invalid url for this. I will message the developers.

As a workaround, you could try updating the URL in your cluego properties. 

You can do this by editing the file  <your home directory>/ClueGoConfiguration/<your version of cluego>/clueGO.props

and updating the URL for OBO-SourceURL to: https://current.geneontology.org/ontology/go.obo

like seen below:

OBO-SourceURL = https://current.geneontology.org/ontology/go.obo

You'll need to restart cytoscape for the change to take effect.
