Hi there,

My name is Rimo Ghosh, and I am a final-year Computer Science and Engineering undergraduate at KIIT University, India. I am keen on contributing to open-source projects.

I have a strong background in machine learning, with hands-on experience in frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow. My expertise includes computer vision, natural language processing (NLP), large language models (LLMs), and graph neural networks (GNNs). Recently, my paper got accepted into SN Science Journal, where i worked on a lightweight semantic segmentation model autonomous vehicles. The model achieved an MIoU of 0.6051 with only 0.45 million parameters, significantly outperforming other models that required nearly five times the parameters.

As I have never contributed to open-source before, I would appreciate any guidance on how to get started. Are there specific projects or discussions I could join?

Looking forward to your response!

Best regards,
Rimo Ghosh

Hi Rimo,

For information on getting started with Cytoscape development, see https://cytoscape.org/documentation_developers.html
Proposed GSoC projects for Cytoscape (and other projects that are part of NRNB) are available here: https://github.com/nrnb/GoogleSummerOfCode/issues. Feel free to reach out to mentors on specific projects of interest.

Regards,

Kristina
