Hello,

I am trying to install Cystoscape on my computer but during the installation process I get the following error messages "C:\Program Files(x86)\Cytoscape_v3.0.2\framework\system\cytoscape-temp\jfree-jfreechart\1.0.13\jfree-jfreechart-1.0.13.jar could not create this file. Shall I try again?" and then "An error occurred: java.io.EOFException: Unexepected end of ZLIB input stream. Error log: C:\Users\...\AppData\Local\Temp\install4jerror734795124589216291.log".

Do you know what the issue is and how can I fix it? Let me know.

Thanks a lot!

Could you try re-downloading the Cytoscape installer? This sounds like it could be a corrupt installer. Also, if you are on a 64-bit machine, be sure to download the 64-bit version of the installer - judging by the error you got, it seems like you may have been using the 32-bit installer on a 64-bit machine.

If that doesn't help, there are a few other things that you may want to check:

1) Does your user account have administrative permissions? If not, you may want to try installing with an administrative account (if possible) or installing to your user directory rather than Program Files.

2) Does your hard disk have plenty of free space? If it is low on space, you may want to try freeing some...

Hope this helps...

Tim

Hi,

You can try it like this, uninstalling the JAVA software completely(please doing this step from your OS control panel), then downloading and installing the New JAVA software, the JAVA version 7 update 25 from 'www.java.com', after that, you will be solve your problem.

Best wishes

Kain
