Hi People,

I'm Kushvinth Madhavan, a contributor to the Cytoscape App Store repository and a GSoC 2026 applicant under NRNB.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been actively contributing to the project, including work on service app support (PR #126), search indexing improvements for active apps (PR #125), and build/setup fixes (PR #123). I’ve also been engaging with open issues around search behavior, app metadata, and system reliability.

I’m particularly interested in improving the App Store’s support for web/service apps and strengthening the overall data model and search experience.

NRNB’s work around open-source biological network tools is something I strongly align with, and I’d be keen to contribute meaningfully beyond just the GSoC period.

Looking forward to the opportunity to collaborate.
