I think this tutorial page could use an example with actual compound/group nodes and nesting. Maybe something similar to the one in JS version: http://js.cytoscape.org/demos/cose-bilkent-layout-compound/.

Great idea.  The Cytoscape tutorial system is a set of open source html files leveraging Reveal.js. You (and anyone) can make pull requests with edits to this file and we'll be happy to include them.
