App fails to start

Hi,

I installed KEGGScape (version 0.8.1) using the App Manager in Cytoscape version 3.7.0. However, it fails to start everytime I launch Cytoscape. Can someone please let me know what the problem might be?

Hi Luis,

    KEGGScape doesn't add any menu items when it starts -- it just adds the ability to read KGML files.  If you do a File->Import->Network from File... do you see kgml files in the list of available file types?  If so, the app is running.

Thanks for the reply.

I can not see the kgml file type in the available file types after launching Cytoscape. However, if I disable KEGGscape, close Cytoscape, launch it again and enable KEGGscape, then the kgml file type shows in the list of available file types. 

I still can not open the kgml files. I tried several different pathway files but the same error occurs: "Could not unmarshall KGML file." Any idea why is this happening?

I´m sorry for the late reply. The KEGGscape app version has now been updated (0.8.2) at the App Store. This new version does not fail to start and the kgml files are imported into Cytoscape without any problems.
