I am trying to install a plugin from a Jar file and it's giving me the error "Jar is missing value for entry Bundle-Activator". This is on Cytoscape 3.6.0, on Windows 7.

Any idea what may be causing this? By the way, the plugin is CytoSEED, if anyone wants to know.

Hi --

CytoSEED is a Cytoscape 2 app, which is incompatible with Cytoscape 3.

If you'd really like to use it, you'll need to download Cytoscape 2.8.2, though you should know that none of the Cytoscape 2 code is in support as of almost a year ago. (It's really old and we can't support it.)

You might want to contact the SEED people to see if they can upgrade their app to Cytoscape 3 ... we'd be happy to talk with them.

Best of luck!

Hi there!
I am also facing the same problem. Did you get any possible solution for this?

Hi... CytoSEED is a Cytoscape 2.x app, which is incompatible with Cytoscape 3.

Cytoscape 2 is deprecated.

Is there a different app (Cytoscape 3 compatible) that does the same job?

Maybe contact the CytoSEED authors to ask them to convert to Cytoscape 3?

Or maybe download Cytoscape 2 and see if it will work?
