Hi!
I upgarded to 3,60 and love the new upgraded version. especially beign able to save the prefered layout style...
I am using FileWatcher app to update the exisitng netowrk i there maybe a new improved way to AUTOMATICALLY UPDADE the exisiting network - when the original csv files which contain node and edge data (updated by excel) change and are saved?
Thanks a lot for your work!

Yes. CYS files from 3.2.1 can be opened directly by 3.6 and any future 3.x version of Cytoscape. That’s a built in the definition of the 3.x series of releases.

A really fantastic option woudl be to have a keyboard shortcut which reloads tabel date from previosuly used excel tables -or is this possible already?

You have to reimport the file.

thanks - do you plan to implement auto import in the future? or auto-update?

The approach to automate importing is to use Commands, R or Python scripts, like you are exploring in your other forum posts.

Yes. Again, it will take a moment to explore the available Commands, but all of these answers are accessible to you (and any non-programmer) via the command line tool and Swagger UI described in the manual:

It might be daunting at first, but give it some time. There is no other way to write your first script :)
