Hi,

I am trying to use cytoscape examine for my work. The eXamine plugin has a export button which saves the image in svg format but it only does it at a 72 dp resolution I was looking for more publication quality graphics and I was wondering how that can be done for eXamine app.
I have another question specific to eXamine. I was wondering if it only works with small networks. I mean if the number of nodes to visualize is low. For one of my network I have over 50 nodes and I wanted to see how they will look in using eXamine set visualization but whenever I use that network I am not able to see any thing in the eXamine window I was wondering if there is a limitation on number of nodes/combinations that the plugin can work with. I would appreciate any pointers in that direction.

Thanks & regards
Saad

Hi Saad,
I would refer you to the authors of the eXamine app since they have their own canvas.  If you want to save the contents of the Cytoscape network window in high resolution, we can certainly help you.  However, I can say, that if they are saving the file as SVG, it *should* be resolution-independent.  That is, there shouldn't be any specific resolution since SVG is a vector format, unless they are saving their canvas as an image encapsulated by SVG.
