Thank you very much for your response.
I am working on Windows 10. Adding the cyndex2.defaultBrowser property followed by a system restart worked for me. The app opened a new tab in my Chrome browser where I was then able to connect to NDEx with my credentials and even upload my networks. System restart, not just Cytoscape restart, was important because before that, I was still not able to connect to the browser despite adding the property.
