How to adjust the color and font size of each node independently from the other nodes in a network?

Hello,

I made an String network using StringApp. Now, I need to make some of my interesting nodes in red color and some of them in green, while the rest of nodes should be kept in gray.

I also need to make the font size of the node names bigger and also bold.

May I kindly ask you how can I make these changes in my network to make my two important groups of nodes/proteins in the entire network very highlighted?

Thank you very much for your help.
Best wishes,
Farah

Sure. We have tutorials that cover basic data visualization:

The growing collection of all tutorials are here:

Thank you very much Alex for the tutorials. However, they are for visualising expression data. But, my data is not expression, and I only have a list of protein names that I made a String network from them. Is there any possibility and options to manually change the color node and its label font/color by my selection and preference for each node individually?

Many thanks.

Best wishes,
Farah

Yup. You can use the same process:

1. Make up a table that defines how you want to color things
2. Load it into Cytoscape
3. Define mappings.

This is the best way to do visualization to avoid human error. However, you can also select node “by hand” and then set their color directly using the Bypass column (third column in Style panel).
