Hello,

I am using ClueGO plugin on Cytoscape. I am trying to submitt heterodimers (such as ELK1::HOXA1). However, Cytoscape is not able to read these heterodimers. Is there any way to achieve it?

Thank you.

Hi,
I do not think ClueGO supports heterodimer identifiers such as ELK1::HOXA1 directly, because it expects standard gene/protein identifiers for enrichment analysis. The best workaround is to split each heterodimer into its component genes, for example ELK1 and HOXA1, and use those gene symbols as the ClueGO input. The original heterodimer label can be kept in a separate Cytoscape column for reference or visualization.
