Dear NRNB team,

I have successfully set up and run the VCell-AI project locally using Docker. The backend, frontend, and Qdrant services are running correctly. However, when testing the LLM endpoints (e.g., /query), I encountered a connection error due to missing Azure OpenAI configuration.

From reviewing the codebase, I understand that the project relies on Azure OpenAI (using AZURE_DEPLOYMENT_NAME and related environment variables). I wanted to clarify:

  • Will contributors be provided with Azure OpenAI credentials for development and testing?

  • Or would you recommend implementing a mock/development mode for local environments where Azure credentials are not available?

I am comfortable proceeding in either direction and would appreciate your guidance on the preferred approach.

Thank you for your time. I look forward to your response.

Best regards,

Hi,

I would ask that question on the issue since I am not sure if vcellmike is on this mailing list.
