My network has a large number of white nodes unconnected by any edges which are distracting. I want to either delete the white nodes or hide them by changing their color to match the purple background. Therefore, I believe I need a method to select them. Maybe this selection could be based on their whiteness or that they are not connected to any edges.

The colors of the other edge-connected nodes were made to match the attached edge by selecting the edge, selecting attached nodes, and setting the node color by bypass. Hopefully, the solution should not involve turning all nodes purple and having me repeat this process, since it was tedious.

I appreciate any and all suggestions. Those which utilize only the cytoscape 3.1 software and applications are preferred. Also exporting, editing, and re-importing tables is feasible. If possible, I would prefer not to use other softwares (like CyREST) which would take time to learn.

Many Thanks,

Aidan

Easy. Go to the Select tab and create a “Degree Filter”. There you can select nodes with a degree of zero. Then in the top menu: Select > Nodes > Hide Selected Nodes.
