HI all, since 4-5 days ago, I'm trying to read pages of plugin
tutorial but I retrieve always a Internal Server Error. What's
happening? When will be restored the service?
thanks

Hi.. the server is still down as I can see! Isn't there another place
where I can find instructions on how to use Cytoscape APIs?
Thanks a lot

Hi,

The current API is still online at http://chianti.ucsd.edu/Cyto-2_6_3/javadoc/

And while the wiki is still down, you can try to find what you want in
the Google Cache:
e.g.:
http://74.125.93.132/search?q=cache:qWqNkw3KmE8J:www.cytoscape.org/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/Cytoscape_Plugin_Tutorial
http://74.125.93.132/search?q=cache:F3GYL_xIfwgJ:www.cytoscape.org/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/plugin_developer_tutorial

Cheers,
Oliver

Thanks Oliver, that mostly works, but the example source and jar files
aren't in the cache, which slows things down a bit. Any idea when the
server will be fixed?

Hi,

the source code of the sample plugins is also in the SVN:

http://chianti.ucsd.edu/svn/csplugins/trunk/common/samplePlugins/

With these and the infos from the google-cached Wiki pages, you can
compile the jars yourself.

Cheers,
Oliver

Oliver,

That source code will help, but the layout of the .jar files is also
giving me a problem. The plugin seems to load fine as long as I put
everything in the root directory of the jar, but if I try to create
some kind of directory structure it fails to find the main class. I
had hoped to use the example jars to sort out what my problem is.
Clearly pulling tutorials from the google cache and source code from
the svn, etc. is not an ideal situation. Is there any time estimate on
fixing the server?

Hi,

have you specified the plugins main class in the Jar's Manifest?
For details, see section "creating a Jar file" in
Cytoscape_Plugin_Tutorial (I've posted the page in the Google cache
last week).

> Is there any time estimate on fixing the server?

Kei already posted, that they are aware of the problem and working on it.
Unfortunately I can't tell you more.
