If you are interested in using Cytoscape as building blocks for your custom application, Cytoscape 3 code is more suitable for your purpose, although it is still in beta status.

Hello everyone,

I am brand new to Cytoscape and I am imagining to use it's incredible features to build a system like INAV (Interactive Network Active-traffic Visualization) http://inav.scaparra.com/ doing changes on the source code or making a plugin. Can someone give me some directions on where to begin?
