Error when submitting Cytoscape plugin

Dear Cytoscape Team,

I tried to submit my plugin to Cytoscape website, namely GPEC (http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1476927112000187). However, following error occurred:

"Error in plugin.prop: pluginCategory must be one of the categories listed at Cytoscape plugin web site."

When I click on the "Cytoscape plugin web site" which linked to http://cytoscape.org/plugins25/index.php, however this page is not available now.

I also checked my pluginCategory value many times (i.e., gene function prediction) which I obtained from a new Cytoscape plugin store (http://apps.cytoscape.org/).

Please correct the link (http://cytoscape.org/plugins25/index.php) and list valid plugin categories in it.

Thanks for your reply. But, that is not what I mean. I knew where to submit. The problem is I typed correct plugin category name in properties file, but it was said that the category is not correct and a reference link appeared. However, this link is not available now.

This is likely due to the website changes I made yesterday. I will look into this immediately and let you know when it’s fixed. Sorry for the hassle.

Our submission script needs to be updated to handle the newly extended list of categories, but in the meantime if you submit your jar again with one of the following categories, then it should work. You can always add or change the categories in the App Store after it’s migrated there.

Interaction database
Ontology analysis
Other

You can see the current list of valid categories on the submission forms for zip files and urls, e.g., http://chianti.ucsd.edu/cyto_web/plugins/pluginsubmitzip.php
