Hi everybody,

I am pretty new to cytoscape and I need some help.
I created a network by blasting sequences against each other (every
sequence is a node, every blast hit over a certain threshold is an
edge). Since the blast analysis creates every time also the reciprocal
blast (so sequence A is blasted against sequence B and vice versa) I
always get two edges between two nodes. I would like to get rid of one
of the edges? Is there a filter or something to help me with this?

Thanks a lot,
Marco

Marco,

It's pretty easy to do it programmatically but i don't know how to do
that in Cytoscape interface.
Actually, you may want to preprocess your edge file before submitting
it to cytoscape,
with duplicate edges removed.

Gang,
Yeah. Thanks. I think I found a way to edit the list before putting it
in Cytoscape.

Thanks for the help. Sometimes it is good to know that there is no
such function so you are not looking for it forever :-).
