Hi, my name is Charles Schmitt, I'm a senior scientist working in the
Bioinformatics division of BD Technologies (R&D division of Becton
Dickinson). We have started looking at using Cytoscape to power some
of our work on signaling pathways. There are a few capabilities that
we would like to add onto the existing platform, particularly in the
area of curating pathways, importing SBML, and integration with the
BioPax ontology. We'd like to start a dialog with members of the
Cytoscape team to see what possibilities there are for collaborative
development. Is there an appropriate person to contact for this?

Thanks, Charles

Hi Charles,
Yes, we're very interested in working with new people to add features
to Cytoscape. There are a number of groups involved in the project
(www.cytoscape.org), but since you mentioned BioPAX and I work on that,
I'll volunteer to chat with you and we can set up broader conference
call if we need to. In general, contacting any of the Cytoscape
collaboration members directly about this kind of thing is fine.
The MSK group is working on BioPAX support right now. SBML support was
earlier developed by the ISB team, though it needs more development to
finalize it, and that is something a lot of people are interested in.
E-mail me to set up a call at ba...@cbio.mskcc.org

Best,
Gary
