There's a particular network I've been trying to load on to Cytoscape all morning but to no avail. I can't seem to fix whatever's wrong because of this rather mystifying error message:

The task could not be completed because an error has occurred.

java.nio.charset.MalformedInputException: Input length = 1

What exactly does it mean? Do node / edge attributes have to be a certain length for Cytoscape to load them in? I'm pretty sure none of my attributes have an 'input length of 1' ...

Hi Victor,

It looks like a character encoding issue.  Are there any non-ASCII characters in your network/attributes?  Actually, could you email me the network, if it's not too large?

Thanks,
Jason
