Hello
I am new to this group and pleas excuse my english. My work has low
funds and canot buy flasks to grow our chromosme cultures and we have
many shortages. I was thinking if there is so how a way to reuse old
flasks? Maybe we can wash them and autoclave them and use them again?
Can group give me a way to do this?
I thank you for all helps.

Xavier In the 1970's through the 1980's most cell culture flasks and
pipettes were reusable. All were glass and were used, then washed and
replugged and autoclaved. Then plastic non reusable items came along.
However you can reuse TC flasks over and over if you want to save
money by washing plastic flasks and sterilise them for 3 minutes using
a microwave set on HIGH. The downside is that there is a increase the
chances of contamination.
Hope this is what you wanted to know

The following reference will be helpful.

Hello Xavier,
This is the best article to help you (see below). Looks like its
possible to do, however i would worry about contamination, and would
only use as a last resort
