Cython debugging in Jupyter notebook

Hello,

I would like to use Cython for wrapping some C/C++ using Jupyter notebook.
The problem is debugging.

Did anyone got Cython debugging work in Jupyter notebook with cygdb?
The html output with source mapping is nice and works, but without ability to debug I do not dare to adventure further.
Debugging Cython in SAGE looks like possible, but I cannot use SAGE.

So in short is %debug ipython/jupyter magic available for Cython?
