Spring comes to Nicosia!

Hi all

Went to Athalassa Park this afternoon hoping to catch my first Barn Swallow of the year. No luck with that species but there were at least 18 House Martins flying over, a Common Swift and a Great Spotted Cuckoo. Could only find two Ferruginous Ducks on the Dam but they were right out in the open and I wished I had taken a camera with me. Am off the the UK now for a few weeks and expect that migration will be in full swing when I get back. I look forward to checking the forum when I have internet access and finding out what's been around.
