Cyphertown brings you another edition of it's regular party at the Shattuck Downlow, WHOMPSTEADY.

WHOMPSTEADY seeks to bridge genres and build new alliances by mixin' up Underground Live Hip Hop Music with cutting edge Electronic Dubstep/Glitch/Breakbeat Producers.  This month's edition features RD (the Designed Disorder - LA - myspace.com/rd) just back from Coachella and playing out for his first time in quite a while. RD has recently been collaborating with such notables as Boreta of the Glitch Mob and EPROM of Hookerz & Blow on remixes to create a sound that will have you grinding the sub woofers all night long.  Joining him in our original electronic feature will be Chris Sia (APT/El Circo - SF - myspace.com/chrissiamusic) who's luscious selections combine layered bass and hip hop tracks with ethereal and melodius ambient music.  Underground Hip Hopsters Hanif Wondir (Animal Farm/Focused Noise - SF/NW - myspace.com/wondir) with DJ Keelay (Keelay & Zaire/Mynx Music - SF - myspace.com/keelaycom) create a sound that "pours a smooth grove through the speakers" and bust lyrics that have a "certain swagger and intensity, but neither is too overpowering for their carefree delivery and sense of humor."  Kiddphunk (Tantric Circus - SF - myspace.com/djkiddphunk) will be opening the evening with a fresh mix of eclectic bassey goodness. Live Visuals by Videolicious (lucination.com - SF) of Bassnectar Tour Fame throughout the night.

On top of all this sonic and visual goodness, we will be hosting a Superfood Bar offering Young Coconut Water Concoctions with E3Live, Himalayan Crystal Salts, Citrus Juices, Herbal Essences and more!  Finally an alternative to alcohol in the club environment!
