Hi All,

I am proud to announce that Cypher 1.9 is now available for download. A demo of 1.9 is also availible online. To run the demo web server yourself, you must also download the Cypher Web Services program. The major enhancement to this release is the implementation of the Metalanguage Ontology (MLO), which allows for description of natural language, such as lexical and phrase grammar knowledge. A number of bugs encountered at program initialization have also been resolved.

Hi Olivier,

Thanks for your interest in Cypher. The Datao project sounds like the kind of project Cypher was made for :) As a starting point, Cypher has three methods of access:

- flat files: writes transcoder output to files (csv, xml, etc)
- Web API - a resful interface to transcoder output
- Java API - allow for integration with Cypher into Java applications

The Cypher license agreements can be found online. The public release is covered by the FREE license.

I hope this helps to jump start the integration. If there are specific requests which you think could benifit this effort, please let me know.

well,  i have tried to contact you at another address.
did you receive my email?
i wish i could discuss with you of the integration of cypher in Datao,
a tool i am developping that
is a mix of visual query builder, HTML/XUL layout designer and web browser.

it would be cool to propose a cypher plug-in to provide a google-like
user interface,
that would accept a NL query and provide the answer as a HTML/XUL page.

i am not sure exactly how cypher is licenced. may be it would a
proprietary plugin
of my LGPL software.

if you are interested to discuss that, feel free to contact me via email or IM.
i will be in ISWC next week, by the way.
