Hi Jean,

Sorry for the delay, but I have not been able to reproduce the problem on my side. I suggest that instead of trying to troubleshoot the version you're using (1.2?), that you instead download the new release (v1.9) which is slated to be released/announced on tomorrow. This release contains a number of important bug fixes.

Again, I apologize for the inconvenience.

Thanks,
-sherman

Hello,

Sorry to insist, but could you give me an answer to my mail ? At least I would like to know  what I must expect from the launching of cypher.bat ? I think I understood that it must give me a prompt when it finish but it never stops. I really don't know and cypher is maybe the only soft I found that uses rdf/owl data model.

Hi Sherman,

Thank you for your answer. I did attached ouput directory to my second mail but let me do it again with the input and data directory this time, it may help to understand. I have chosen only one phrase in the a.txt file. The phrase is  "The Terminal stars Tom Hanks and Catherine Zeta-Jones" and at last, I send to you the output screen also . Changes I made are in config.ini and cypher.bat files to tune directories and repository locations.

Jean-Michel Rioux.

Hi Jean-Michel,

Thanks so much for your interest in Cypher!

First, I suggest that you submit any questions related to cypher to the cypher group at: http://forum.cypher.monrai.com I have posted this message to the group for convince.

Second, so sorry you are having trouble, and I thank you for bearing with us. In order to help with this, I will need to see the input file you're working with. Are you running a fresh install, with all dataset files untouched, or did you modify the lexicon, or input files any? Also, there was no file attached. It appears that whatever pattern was being parsed did not fully parse, a piece of that input pattern, i.e. "Jones", was recognized, and placed in the directory above.

Once I have a look at the input file, and can know what changes were made, I will be able to provide more help with this.

Thanks,
-sherman.

Hello,

I didn't purchased your soft but I use it and it does not work. Then, could you give me some help on it ? The issue is that, after some tuning, I launched cypher.bat in the root directory and at the step "Transcoding text...", it stops at this :
 "2008-07-29 22:58:34,340: OUT> G:\jmrioux\ln\installations\cypher\out\fragments\Jones\grammar-orphaned-831217365114340.xml"
and I have the joined file as output.
I don't understand why and I thought you could have an explanation or an idea about a possible cause.

Thanks in advance.

Jean-Michel Rioux.

Hi Sherman,

I don't see any release or announce about a 1.9 release of cypher. Could you show me, I may look at the wrong place.

Sorry for the disturbance but I would like to see cypher working.

Hi Sherman,

Have you released the 1.9 version of Cypher?   Do I need a username and password or a URL to download this from your site?  Thanks.
