A quick question. Compare with running a suite in live mode, how much resource does a simulation mode use?

Hi Xiao,

I've never actually checked that, but I would guess: somewhat less memory, but not a lot less; and possibly more CPU because the workflow typically advances much faster in simulation mode.  As far as Cylc is concerned, simulation mode is the same as live mode except that jobs don't get submitted (instead, task proxies' outputs just get satisfied magically after a short time interval).
