Increase in scammers

Hello everyone, from the moderators,

Hope you're having a great sailing season filled with many great outings.

We try to be extremely hands-off and let this group server its function and that works well most of the time.

Recently there has been an increase in spam. 

As a result, I have increased the bar for new members to post. 

That means more work for the mods, but less spam for you. Hopefully the spammers will go find other targets to pick on, maybe someone's toll bill hasn't been paid, or maybe ducts need cleaning in Spain or something. 

Please do not engage with spammers, do not reply to this message (you can email me directly if you want). Please just ignore it, move on, and go sailing.
