Hi.

I've been working with the shorttermstorage archetype and found that including Am242m in the spent fuel recipe causes the calculation of decay heat in Pyne to return nan.  Any chance that this could be fixed?  I'd rather not exclude Am242m from the spent fuel recipe if possible.

Cheers.

Hi Dan,

Are you using PyNE separately in post-processing, or referring to way that Cyclus is using PyNE to get this result?

If the former, we can bump this over to the PyNE mailing list/repo with a simple test case.  If the latter, we should double check the way we are using PyNE and then investigate further.

Paul

Hi Paul,

I was referring to Cyclus using PyNE.

Cheers.

The problem is that I'm using the development version of cyclus.  The master version filters out all nan from the results of PyNE decay heat calculations.

Hi Daniel,

In Cyclus, we actually change the way we deal with the different branches, before:
- development on develop branch
- stable version/released version on master (+ tags)

now:
- development on master branch
- stable/released version using tag only

Also the short them storage has been developed by Anthony Scopatz (and/or Robert Flanagan) I don’t know much about this, but maybe you can get their attention posting an issue on the repo. (They both are on this mailing list.)
