Is it possible to submit jobs to cyclus server running on a remote machine. I can launch cyclus server on an ubuntu server but I have windows users who would like to submit jobs (preferably through python). I have been unable to figure out how to connect from a machine that does not have cyclus installed on it
Thank you so much
William

HI there,

There I no built in support for this, but I think it should be possible to wrap Cyclus in a lightweight python based web server to handle requests from remote users.

On a related note, we are working on improving support for Cyclus in the NEAMS Workbench  which would provide some support for this.

Paul

Hi,

I believe I can integrate Cyclus into NukeLab. Currently, NukeLab incorporates various software tools such as Geant4, DAGMC, OpenMC, PyNE, PlasmaPy, and other supporting utilities. Since I'm new to Cyclus, I'm uncertain if it has any connections with the aforementioned projects. If there are relations, I'll integrate Cyclus with them. Alternatively, I might create a specific container solely for Cyclus and its dependencies. I'm hopeful that Professor Paul can provide better guidance on this matter.

Thank you.

Hi Ahnaf,

This certainly may be of interest to some.  In fact, we once hosted a software-as-a-service instance of Cyclus that would run a simulation on our server and provide results back to a user.  Perhaps that would also be interesting.
