I expect someone here know.  Is the path across the Cherwell OK - and/or some may know if the Mesopotamia walk is accessible.  This is for a teenage school group (on Wednesday) with shoes they don't like getting too muddy.
Cheers,
Robert

Robert,

I can't specifically help with your question. I recall this question being raised in the past after heavy rain. One answer had a link to a river level monitor, which may (or not?) have been useful re the path across the meadow. It was some years ago, and can't remember any more details, though I have a vague memory of looking at the link.

James.

This page http://urchin.earth.li/~ganesh/cgi-bin/psychopath.pl is what I use for updates about the Marston cycle track.

..and within Kate's/Danny's link is the useful link; -

https://eodg.atm.ox.ac.uk/user/dudhia/rowing/river.html (height of the river, plus "Geraint Jones informs me that 15" to 20" above normal there seems to be a good match for a flooded path.")

I'm sure Robert could use this to fit in a bit of cross curricular teaching for his pupils!

.... but in closer reading, refers to the Thames and "tow path", rather than the Cherwell and the meadow cycle track.

Thanks for all that info.
The link to the upstream height seems the best info - that's just for the last 24hrs.
From my previous river interests I knew there are height archives and refound daily levels: https://riverlevels.uk/cherwell-oxford-kings-mill
Correlating with the (previous) comments, it seems that at about 2m is when the water clears the path.
Now it's 1.85m that should be good ... but it's rising!??

Can they risk the white trainers?

Thanks
