Hello to fellow advocates and campaigners in Oxfordshire

 

I want to draw your attention to an upcoming event that forms part of the Wantage Literary Festival - I have been asked to interview national journalist Laura Laker about her new book called “Potholes and Pavements” which is a fascinating look at the National Cycling Network, its history, its current state and the role it can play in the future of national transport planning. This will be at The Beacon in Wantage at 2pm on Saturday 2nd November. You need to book tickets for this here. I very much recommend both the book and the talk and I can guarantee that you will hear lots of interesting information about the current state of our national active travel provision and in particular Laura’s take on the difference our new government could potentially make in this policy area.
