Tornado 3.0-beta-1 is released has been created by Jiaqi Guo (Jan 24, 2006).

Similar to waterview, tornado's next version(3.1) will go to maven2 style. This release creates a 3.0.x branch and will finish with a 3.0 final version. The major work will focus on 3.1.
