I am sure most of you have already worked it out but I thought it may be of interest to new people when trying to provide the gerber to gcode converter with the "Tool Diameter" that in the case of V-bits is going to be function of the depth to be routed.

And here a table with some common angles:

zD 15 20 30 45 60 °

0.03 0.008 0.011 0.016 0.025 0.035
0.04 0.011 0.014 0.021 0.033 0.046
0.05 0.013 0.018 0.027 0.041 0.058

Thank you! I haven't done the math :P

Are you sure those V bits are 60⁰? They look 30⁰

Carlos

Well spotted!!!  It is certainly a 30 ⁰ v bit bought from china and it has a suggested Cutting edge diameter of  0.1mm.
