Because I move 6mm down after a print to flood the build area and then up to the correct layer height. That causes a bulge of fluid on top of the print. The wiper removes the bulge so that you have a flat surface to print on or each layer will have rounded corners and the last layer might make your item look like an egg

What I have learnt so far is the build platform needs to be under the fluid before I start and then I just need to do some filling up. I am thinking of getting a fluid pump to empty the overflows into the main container before every print. I will probably need to use one of the controllers for this at some pointNow the problem I have with the blade is it is the age old FDM machine leveling problem. The blade needs to be exactly level with the build platform, but I don't want the user to do anything. I was thinking there needs to be a spring on each side pulling the blade down, ofcourse there will be a stopper so that the blade doesn't fall out. Before the print starts the build platform moves down to Z0 and then up to Z78. As the build plate moves up it will push up against the blade. The blade will move up and it will then be level with the build platform. When the print starts something needs to lock the blade into place automatically. What can I use for this kind of lock? I can only think of an electromagnet. Currently I only have a Sanguinololu, but I will probably move to a board with more capabilities so that I can handle everything I want to do. I want to use the extruder controller for something else. X, Y, Z are all in use already. I need to get one fan onto the controller and one on the casing. So probably already don't have any open slots
