I'm planning on doing it again this year. It's July 11th, and registration opens tomorrow (January 1st). https://triplebypass.org

Anyone else in?

But are you doing the double-triple?

Nope. One way is enough for me. (Saturday for me.) But you should feel free To do both directions! I’ll probably stay in Avon Saturday night.

I’m also planning to do the Courage Classic the following weekend (80 miles x 2).

I'll sign up on a lark.  I'm probably not in good enough shape for the double-triple.
LMK about lodging maybe I can pile on?  Will you have transport back the next day?
Last year Doug Young and I did the bus return and it was a bit of a logistical cluserfuck.

Where are you staying in Avon?  Looks pretty booked up to me...  I'd bring the RV (sleeps 3 guys) but no RV parking there.  Still thinking about joining in though.

I'm registered!  Anyone wants to join my "team", the name is "team wheezil" :-)
Randy, I love the RV idea if you can find a place to camp it.  We have bikes... so riding a few extra miles ain't no thang.
I'm still trying to figure out the return.  The bus was a logistical mess last year, so I'd like to avoid it.

I'm signed up too -Team Wheezil!

I've never had problems staying in Avon - I haven't looked for places yet, but I'm sure we can find something on AirBnB. I'm hoping I can get Kelle to drive up and join us for the evening - which would mean a ride back the next day.

Randy, join us!

John, did you sign up for the double? I know you said you're not in shape for it, but come on, it's six months away!

I am tempted to try it.... but now that I am working full-time again don't know that I would get the training in.
I am available to give you a ride back from Avon if you need it - can carry 4 additional people with bikes in the bed of the truck and 2 on the rack.
I'll put a note on my calendar to stay available if you all need a ride.

Sweet! A BTC 2013 reunion! (Was it that long ago???)

Looking forward to training with you again! (But hopefully I'll see you at some Ars Nova concerts too!)

Definitely appreciate the offer of a ride. We'll see if we need it.

But you should ride it!

Training is the key. None of the climbs are hard (they're not steep), but they're long. If you can get the training in, it's no problem. And if you sign up, that's more pressure to do the training! It's good for you!

There are two shorter options - Georgetown to Avon, and Breckenridge to Avon. Not suggesting you should do those instead, Karen, but perhaps others here would be interested.

Dave - I'm also interested in the Courage Classic.  Do you have a team of Weezils as well?

I've ridden it with a team before, but I haven't hooked up with them yet. There was a special free entry (that's ended), so I just went and signed up solo. The Second Wind group in Niwot (that Blade and Kristen ride with often) also has a team. It'll be fun to have you there. (We can split a double room if you like.)

You mean I don't have to pitch my 30+ year old tent and deflating air mattress?  I’m all for that.
