Please join me at the Thursday Night Ride today! Let's test this thing!
Please update your app through the google play store before hand.

App Update, what's new:

•Dark mode is now the default. The button in the top corner switches between dark and light, and it now shows a sun when tapping it will take you back to light.

•Speaker setup is easier to reach. It is a labelled button on the home screen instead of a small icon in the corner, and you do not need to create or join a room to use it.

•The back button now does one of two things depending on when you press it. Past three seconds into a song it starts that song over. Within the first three seconds it goes back a track. This is how spotify and youtube music behave.

•You can leave a calibration partway through instead of waiting for it to finish. Before the chirps would keep playing even if you left the app.

•The home screen remembers the last room you joined and offers it back in one tap.

•Saved speaker profiles are now checked and repaired when the app starts. A bug could let a saved measurement drift away from the number you actually measured, which slowly pushed you out of sync with the group. Any profile affected is corrected for you.

•The notes box on the diagnostics screen is now legible in dark mode. If something sounds wrong on a ride, please open GPS status, type what happened, and hit Upload logs. That note is the single most useful thing you can send us.

Additional notes:

•Still known to be imperfect.
Some handsets, particularly older Samsungs, report their audio position more coarsely than others and will sit a little further off the group than the rest. It seems that on budget and old Samsungs audio placement is reported to the app as being somewhere within a  ± ~10ms window, rather than the  ± 2ms window that is the norm on most Android devices. If you hear your device not being in good sync with other phones then please upload a log with a comment so I can have more info on how I can try and solve this issue. Your device logs are critical to nailing it down.

•One tester asked if I could add the ability to scrub through a track, I explored the idea, but the implementation would have been fairly complicated so I opted to not include that in this update, though I may add that in the future.

Thank you so much for helping to test out CycleSync. Your feedback is incredibly valuable. I hope to see you today at TNR!
