Rainbow Primary and Shipley Primary have been engaged to work with Sustrans this academic year.

Emma:

Delivered M check and helmet training for teachers at Burley Oaks Primary School due to an order of 28 bikes for their new cycle track.

I have been helping the school champion at St Andrews to deliver their cycle club on a weekly basis.

I have worked with Merlin Top delivering cycle skills for KS2 and working with the school champion to devise a cycle plan so all children can learn to ride before they leave in Year 6.

I have visited Lister Park who are interested in working with Sustrans this year but are yet to commit. I have also visited Frizinghall who do not want to work with Sustrans. I am currently trying to make links with other schools on the public health list .

Ian:

Met with school champions from Byron, Rainbow, Lower Fields and Shipley to organise activities for the year ahead.

Rainbow and Shipley are new Sustrans schools this year. Have planned 2 active travel events with Bryon and Bowling as well as Scooter Tutor programmes in Rainbow and Shipley in coming months.
